About Me
Hi. I am so glad you are here. My name is Elie Breaux and I am a family photographer working on the Emerald Coast of Florida. My goal is always to capture your family with care and authenticity in a light-hearted, free-form session that just so happens to take place in one of the most beautiful places in the world. My favorite type of shoot. These longer sessions vary in length from 3 to 12 hours, and focus on your family as it truly is. If you value authenticity above fairy tale, true connection above manufactured moments, and would like a lasting physical record of your family that your children and grandchildren will always be able to look back on....this is for you. I am drawn to this style and process simply because these are the types of images of my own family that are most meaningful to me. And I truly believe that you will feel the same way. All Documentary Family sessions include an heirloom album.
The Emerald Coast practically begs for this type of session. Are you visiting and wishing to commemorate your trip? A local wanting your yearly family pics taken at your favorite spot? This may be for you. My approach to this session differs slightly from the norm. We will make sure to grab the posed group shots at a couple of stopping points throughout the evening, but the remainder of the time we will spend enjoying the beach. This means that I ask very little of the children except that they HAVE FUN. My goal is to bring some of the same real connection and aesthetic from my documentary sessions to the beach. Expect to go home sandy, a little bit wet, with kids that are ready for bed time. It's a blast!

my philosophy
I strongly believe that there is no one way that a family is supposed to look. The only requirement is love, and love is part of the universal human condition. Regardless of orientation, ability, color or creed, I want to be the mirror you hold up to yourselves to see how truly unique and incredible you are. I want to tell your story. I want to be your photographer, and I want to do so with the grace and sensitivity your family deserves.

Penelope Higgins 2023-10-13 Elie was amazing. The process was actually really fun - and we had a group of people who hate taking photos. From the beginning, he walked me through our needs and was sincerely interested in each individual so he could provide us with the right product. Once we got to the shoot, he immediately assimilated to the family and we all just played together. Because of this, the life in the photos are crisply vivid. I can hear my mother giggling and my kids playful screams when I look at the album. Not only do we look like the truest forms of ourselves (in the most beautiful way), The composition of the photographs are outstanding - the right amount of sand, Sun, sea to support the photo. You really can’t go wrong.

He was professional from start to finish and made sure everyone’s preferences were honored. The session was fun and comfortable for everyone. There were a total of 11 people being photographed - and all parties were really pleased with how the photos came out. There also was newborn and a toddler present and Elie did a great job capturing both of them.
